Bat Colors
All colors are lightfast and fade resistant, even when exposed to UV rays. Each bat is stained twice for a richer look. A sanding sealer is applied followed by three coats of gloss polyurethane which provides moisture resistance and has superior durability. Our finish is one of the best in the business. All of our colors can fit into your team color scheme. We are adding Royal Blue, 14K Gold, and Gamecock Garnet to our line up. Custom colors are available upon request. Just call us to express your needs. Flame Tempered is not a color, but rather a technique. It is an old school process where a torch is passed over the bat. The heat from the flames highlights the grain lines creating a unique appearance. This technique is believed to create unmatched surface hardness. Flame tempering is done on Ash and Hickory bats. Flame Tempered bats are topcoated in the usual manner. Oil Hardened is a process where heated oil is applied to the bat. The warm oil penetrates into the pores which become sealed after the oil dries creating a harder surface. This is the standard finish on our Vintage bats. |
